The College
Building is well constructed as per the requirements of
course by following the norms specified by Dental Council
of India. The building is constructed on the same plot of
land. The building is ‘U’ shaped having ground
and first floor already in use for the teaching activities
of BDS course. Total constructed area of the building is
57420 sq. ft.. Right wing of the building and front wing
is accommodating all basic Medical and Dental departments
and Preclinical Laboratories. At the ground floor terminal
extension of ground floor about 2750 sq. ft. area of building
is allotted for library |

department and on top at first floor well equipped Auditorium
(2700 sq. ft.) with sitting capacity of 400 is available where scientific
and cultural programs are being conducted. The Dental College along
with Indian Dental Association, Amravati and Maharashtra state branch
is regularly conducting scientific activities to update the information
by Continuing Dental Education Programs which is also benefiting
the Dental Surgeons practicing in the region. |
The left wing of the
building, ground and first floor has accommodated Dental Hospital
having all clinical departments available for clinical teaching
and treatment of Dental patients. The departments are equipped with
all necessary Dental equipments, furniture and fixtures. Well design
Operation Theatre Complex having major and minor O.T. and aseptic
O.T. with recovery room is available. There is a ward available
with all facilities to admit the operated indoor patients. The center
is well recognized as trauma care unit. |
The diagnostic
centre is available for detection of Oral Precancer and
Cancer lesions. The Histopathology Deptt. is available for
diagnosis of diseases by taking Biopsy. Clinical Pathology
Deptt. is also available for blood and urine examination.
The College is a recognized “University Examination
Centre” for conducting theory examination for Health
Sciences students of Amravati District. The canteen facility
is available for student, staff and patients in the campus
of the college. There is a dormatory (Dharmshala) type arrangement
available for relatives of indoor patients, free of cost. |
